Forests & Aravallis
The Aravalli hills — among the oldest mountain ranges on Earth — are Gurugram’s ecological lifeline. They recharge groundwater, buffer against dust storms, host rich biodiversity, and provide the only natural green lung for Delhi NCR’s 30 million residents.
What Citizens Can Do
- Visit and support the Aravalli Biodiversity Park (Sector 35)
- Report encroachments to the Forest Department and GMDA
- Plant native Aravalli species — Dhau, Dhok, Raunj, Ber — in community spaces
