Safetipin uses technology to audit and improve women’s safety in public spaces — collecting data on lighting, openness, visibility, security, and crowd presence to generate safety scores for streets and neighbourhoods. Their Gurugram safety audits, conducted in partnership with GurgaonFirst, have directly informed advocacy to GMDA and the Gurugram Police on street lighting, CCTV coverage, and safe city planning. The data they produce has also been used in GurgaonFirst’s Women’s Safety handbook.
