Safety of Workers in the Automobile Sector

More than a thousand workers lose their hands and fingers to crush injuries annually in Gurgaon-Manesar’s auto manufacturing sector alone. To help sustainably reduce such incidents, SafeInIndia — a citizen initiative — researched pragmatic, win-win solutions to improve working conditions while collaborating with manufacturers. A panel discussion of senior industry and social sector executives was organised on September 29, 2015 at Artemis Hospital Auditorium, attended by more than 200 delegates including manufacturers, workers, NGOs, and healthcare professionals.
